i have created a database on my pc and i have given a password at the time of installation , after the installation it is accessed successfully by the given password , but i observed that when i gave anything in password then it is also accessed by it and i dont have any other database of this same name.why this is happening please tell me. thanx in advance to all
and when i access it through another system then it is accessed only by its original password not by any other password.

... and OSDBA is a generic term for Oracle to name the OS group that allows you to connect as SYSDBA and which is ORA_DBA on Windows and is most often (but is not mandatory) "dba" on *nix.
In addition, ORA_<SID>_DBA group allows you to connect as SYSDBA on instance <SID> and ORA_DBA one allows you to connect as SYSDBA on any instance (of the server).

Michel
